There is on but he is too busy to conduct classes...then there is another one MIA...so DIY....
Im just practising YESTERDAY and FLY ME TO THE MOON without seeing the numbers...just funking around....
It elevates the mood when Im playing....kinda fun.

To play from the heart,u gotta feel it!
I know, I had not been playing from the heart,cos the heart aint feeling it and if they do,its focus is on the numbers...which to blow which to draw...
And so I decided to test my memory and just heck care about the number and boy!It sounded better than when i rigidly faithfully follow the notes.Although there are mistakes to be made..cos I did not memorise it hard enough,it felt FREE!

Motivations...
Today I played with no feelings
Kinda middle no linking
no interior winding
I played with no feelings
It started like this...
I was feeling happy crazy after a harp session practise...and I look to a friend and asked a random question?just for the fun of it ...and boy did I get just-for-the-no-fun-attitude kinda answer....
I asked: Do U think I can busk in the streets with the meagre skills that I have since I cannot find any teacher.Perhaps thru street playing, I can meet more people and learn and who knows, there might be a harp teacher....
answer-nonchahalant mood: I dunno , up to you...kinda like Areu-crazy-that-u-want-to-play this-toy thingy in the streets kinda blank look...
I was like..oh..ok...what a damper...thanks for the motivations.
Eversince that retorted answer tend to play back in circles in repetition without me even pressing the play button like...what's the used in practising when u are no where as good, no talent..nothing...
I tried to play but it did not go well, it has been bitten by the bile remarks. I should not let it go into my head..Im playing cos Im happy and I wanna to learn more right? So the more I should prove that person wrong that Harmonica can be serious..and that I am serious to learn about it....
Yeah, if we as adults are easily bitten by these negativity remarks, how about kids?They will be wounded...so take note of your words, my friend.Use them wisely,once its out, no turning back..its like hitting nails on the fence.If u make a mistake, u need to take it out and cover it up with putty.No matter how expensive the putty is, it can never resume to its original non-holey fence,there will be some dentedness, off-colorations and many more...
So are words..we got to be careful with them, even though u dont feel like answering,always answer in positive motivations and with a dashing smile ! *smiling showing full set of white teeth... hee!

I am a WINNER!
Everday, we have to say some positive affirmations to ourselves.Who else is gonna perk us up if we dont do it right? And then I looked out to the sky as the sombre night changes to glory morning with basking reddish crimson light shine thru.It makes me feel good....

And so Im gonna believe that Im the best.Im gonna practise like Im the BEST when all else fails and my practise do not seems to impressed me, then I shall PRETEND.Yes that is what I shall do today...
Early morning practise of Hohner is not possible today cos Im down with sore throat...but perhaps later as my throat gets accustomed to wear and tear of daily conversations and had also warmed up...if I can, I will keep silent...and perhaps show some sign languages....
I had kinda neglect Hohner past few days (if u are not sure which dude is Hohner,dont fret,its my humble faithful harmonica and its brand is Hohner, I prefer to call it that way,it sounds fanciful and kinda give its due respect)
I realised that if I gets doubtful but,not confident of my own ability to play Hohner, I will fumbled and get all the holes mixed up...not so bad but like hole 6 for 7,hole 7 for 8....but actually by now, Im quite familiar with its sound that comes out from each hole.
So first thing,before practise, imagine that I am the BEST and then believe that I am the best, trust that I will do my BESTEST and insya-Allah the confidence is there to be mould.And then the practise will go without any hitch...and erm...the computer/mp3 is important too cos sometimes, I missed the tunes.I kinda mixed up the intro of some songs... e.g black magic woman, apologise, bad day....the intro I kinda forget...but the chorus, is easy...
Ok, gonna take my Nin Jiom medicine and some lozenges and head to a beautiful start of the day....

Rusty?
I've tasted there is some sort of weird taste kinda queer lately eversince my lips touch Hohner these few days. As I peered in, I realised that there is some kinda of rusty (I think) at the screws inside...perhaps at the reeves.
YIKES?! I heard if u eat rust or something, ur mouth will kinda freeze one day...erm, is it true? anyway, I need to get some harp screws fast...I need to "operate" and check out what's going on inside.
I've practised everyday except 2 days. I dont care about the neighbours..since Im only blowing it for a good 30mins daily. Im beginning to memorize Yesterday not by numbers but my tone....alhamdulillah. the Harmonica organisation that defer my letter to a diatonic instructor has not replied to me and so I wrote again directly to the instructor and CC to them.
Here I am so enthusiastic about learning and no one wants to take me?! Arent' they scared they are gonna missed a chance of a lifetime? Who knows I might be the next Bob Dylan? heheh!

How's your new year? hopefully it was spent with ur loved ones.Happyness and love surrounds.
Well, as a new year gift, let me share with you my favourite Harp song that I admit, I can play easily as a dummy from beginning to the end.Alhamdulillah!And it is one of my favourite all-time movie.Feeling love this new year, let me present to you:

Jazz....and R n B
Went to Cash converters, a favourite pasttime. I love browsing thru the CDs, reminded me of Amoeba in LA.Wanted to get in touch with the Jazzy music..and assortments. Bought Michael Buble double disc for only $5?!Wow! Anyway, I had forgotten how relaxing jazz is.
I had long forsaken the music industry since a decade ago.I had not keep in touch with the recent music world unless its being played while I was driving.
I am keen in all genres from Metallica to Air SUpply, Bon Jovi to Barry Manilow, Sting ,Eagles, Tesla, No Doubt, to Black Eyed Peas to Pussy Cat Doll, Janet Jackson,Tommy Page, NKOTB ..Boys2Men and lots of dance upbeats,RnB and hip hop..I listen to them ALL!
Anyway, as I played the songs, I felt so relax that it almost lull me to sleep. I guess its a bad choice of songs if Im driving....I want to stay awake cos normally I need to drive as early as possible perhaps 5am? Hmm..
Anyway, music is really very fascinating, it make u feel all sorts of feelings...It can anger you, make u feel pleasant,happy chirpy, cry to tears, tear to pieces, violent and even drowsy sleepy. Its so powerful that it can change one state of mind and confidence. Hmm..
I hope that one day, I can move the world to feel how I feel in vast movements and spread it like widfire...but mainly I hope to conjure music positively so that people will listen to my music and feel confident, happy,motivated and head on, head strong and determined to go thru the everyday battles of life.Possible? Insya-Allah amin.

Best presents to give is...
a HARMONICA of course!
Yeah, I wasnt feeling well, but holidays are moments of joyz.So if I cannot be joyful at lease let me basked in some joyous moments. Thus I was in a family gathering and I brought cheap harmonicas for the kids-as young as 2 till age 12.In fact even their parents are intrigued.
I brought presents, u can see the joys in their faces.The kids are sincerely happy cos they had not learnt the world's deceitness yet.Such purity and glow of innocence.I had not even settled down,they swarmed me like beez and I was busy handing out the presents.No need to gift wrapped.Waste paper..
So they were stunned but happy to see the presents.I guess they are stunned cos unsure what to do with it.Harmonica had almost been extinct due to its unpopularity. And so I saw their empty looks and I took out my HOHNER and start blowing simple tunes like barney/this old man, twinkle2 little star,row2 ur boat and loads more.Even the adults at the living room came in to take a look when they heard the melody.Cos they were intrigued,they thought it sounded like some big bombastic instrument but never see me carry anything bulging or bulky.
Curiousity is killin 'em all....
The kids were excited when I showed them my tapered,crumpled lil notebook of the harp tabs. And some started copying the notes down. They wonder how come I can blow single notes whereas they blow in many notes at once.They try to emulate me and isolate the notes.I said take time, have patience,its not like I learnt this yesterday....
I felt kinda like a musician, i felt happy to spread the joys and happyness cheers around.It was more bubbly and happening when I arrived...Feeling unwell, I dont really feel the unwellness,in fact it was being covered by the happyness tunes, no matter how unruly it gets, i was like a conductor for massive harpists.It was cool!
When else will I get such opportunity,right?
My aunties and uncles were puzzled by my sudden interest in music. Cos I had always been interested but I did not show it cos I felt that music has to be made from gifted people.I was wrong, I wasnt confident enough. Now I learn that anyone can learnt music thus I felt inspired and its never too late to learn isnt it?
The Dummie book really touch upon Xmas songs as I proceed on, as if it can read my mind and understand my surroundings (hehe!) at this moment which is 24.12.09 in my country when the radios are all playing xmas cheers and songs (No,I dont celebrate Xmas, but i use it as a practice) .Hmm...

Newbie learning with dummie
Ok feeling blue..
I reread the dummie book this time following the practical lessons and listening to the mp3 given.
It kinda make me feel happy.In fact it make me guffawed in glee especially the songs that I need to play, one of them is the "On top of Old smokey" and there is a horse neighing in middle part..kinda squirt me some laughters *lol
It makes me feel like Im in a fun fair or something...and smell of popcorns and candy floss and those apples dipped in caramel..YUM!
Anyway,these are the songs I learnt to play by stages.. (I know most of the tunes but there are occasional ones I didnt know..)
Hot cross buns, Good night ladies,Mary had a little lamb,Frere jacques (are u sleeping brother john tune) ,when the saints go marching in,twinkle twinkle little star and on top of old smokey.
Next stage is to play Shenandoah (just a part of it) and then she'll be coming round the mountains..and silent night.
I think neighbours will not be throwing bottles at me cos they think Im practising for the xmas or something hehe!
So that is the songs Im gonna practise...for now..
I tried the train thingy and whistling but I cannot really hear the actual harmonica being playedd with accompanied music of drums and piano I think...
Comment: I think they should omit the accompanied music although it kinda motivates you to play cos u felt like u are jamming with the rest of the instruments family.Perhaps there should be 2 version-part 1 harmonica only, and part 2 with other instruments..Yeah I think that should be great!
Ok, Im gonna practise now..
Music really change emotions in people within seconds...Wow!

After reading the above books, I have some insight on the harmonica gurus...I kinda like the book-Mister Satan's apprentice.It brought me a journey of what I had in mind when I first wanted to learn the harmonica.I wanted to jam with other people of the world.And where is the best place to learn from? STREETS of course...from the buskers..
They played with no rules, just loads of personal experiments and watching others play mostly by ear. Kinda fascinating isnt it? My mind did flicker loads of doubtful questions still wondering is this a short stint or fad that will end soon? Or will it be pursued till she master it? hmm...tough one.
Anyway,the previous post on this guy that actually give some free lessons online is none other than the famous Adam Gussow and Mr Satan who played in the streets.That was the book that I find interesting.His youtube channel- http://www.youtube.com/user/KudzuRunner I find it fascinating cos he is one determined white man (Im not discriminating) who wants to master the blues and learn with many people irregardless of the skin colour. (can count them silently under ur breath, or use drumsticks or whatever sticks for the beats while u blow and draw the harmonica..heck, u can even just tap ur feet!)
p.s: I hope by June 2010, I was able to understand the flow of the harmonica and able to play by ear simple tunes and jam automatically with others. I hope to understand the basics and master it if possible.
I was thinking of going backpacking again..Once u start,u can never stop.. I was thinking India...insya-Allah.Or perhaps,accept my friends' invitation and come to USA again cos then I can learn the real blues over there...Hmm,interesting...

(oi fried rice!) one of my favourite childhood song which has been in my head wormy til recent years back that I found out P.Ramlee was the singer.I had been searching and wondering who sang the song...once I google it, I found it.Technology...
Oh back to the happy songs- I did not convert it cos there are notes F and A so got to move on to the next song which has no F and A notes.This is only the chorus the actualy songs do have F and A.Lots of songs use F and A...
i think I better buck up on my single notes and then bend those notes....

Ok this time, while doing the tabs (my eyes do get cross eyed) I realised that the harmonica does not have note F and A (low notes) thus I think that is when bending comes to play but I do not know how to bend although I tried once or twice cos Im not confident about my single note draw and blow yet.It has improved but sometimes, it gets a bit cranky perhaps havent warm up yet...

WOO-HOO!Alhamdulillah!!
I can read music bit by bit now...woo-hoo!!
I actually convert the music notes from the real notes to harmonica tabs!WOO-hoo!!
I actually went to my late idol's house recently.And bought his superb thick book of musical notes and delicious music. And I even bought a dummy book for harmonica in Borders.With these powerful innovations, I try to tweak a bit and see whether I can understand the musical notes.

Alhamdulillah.Im so HAPPY!! I thought Im gonna be musical illiterate forever!!
It wasnt that easy though, I had to keep refer to dummy book for reference and convert each note one by one. I get to do my favourite song about MOM.(I love you, Mom!!)

Heh..I only did the chorus part...but its a good start for a newbie like me.That means I have the hope of able to convert those sappy sentimental heart wrenching gut feeling songs of P.Ramlee...YIPEE!!

Another thing, this is my second time I was here.But this time round I felt so inspired and this is the second time I felt so sad (tears started to well up in my eyes but I hold back cos friends nearby) everytime I enter his house.I felt the loss of a great artist which cannot be replaced ever.I hope I can do justice to his music one day insya-Allah amin and spread to the world about his works and rejuvenate the local industries on his prowess once again.amin. *creating cloudless dreams in midair...
And I found out he played violin too (that is the first few instruments he master) aside from saxophone,guitar,trumpets and loads more....I love the violin and sax!

I walked shamelessly with...
As I was reading about Little Walter on how he was determined to learn from the Blues masters and all that harmonica stayed glued to his lips.I was adamant to make my mark to but I must start small.But seriously,Im beginning to think all these practices are gonna make me a swell kisser.So line up,guys!

Thus today, I woke up feeling a lil bit inspired.I went around touring the new area that I had reached with a lil dash of music early morning.I bet the cocks must be mad that I was the "Alarm clocks" of that moment.Waking the people up or perhaps torturing their souls hehe!
I walked and tested with slow and quick pace whether that ounce of strength and air supply can be compromised without having to cut off its quality blowing and drawing.
As I played my hohner like the fluteman who drives the mice away once upon a time. I was in my own world without realising whom has threaded my path or cycled by me.Or took glances of me, a women cladded in cloth from head to toe in jumbled colours and fancy tapping footdance in the middle of nowhere.The only thing missing is my red nose.And I will be mistaken for a jester or a clown.
I had stopped memorising the hole numbers. Cos I want to concentrate on the clear crisp sound of blowing one holes at a time.Still practising.My high standard wants perfection every time.So I still think Im not good enough to learn bending or even head on to the next lesson till I master the art of drawing and blowing.Drawing from hole2 is getting easier.I guess,it needs some warming up...
My partner in crime stayed away as far away from me,ashamed to be associated with me for fear that anyone who crosses my path will throw stones at us.hehe!
Then an idea crept by me.I want to be a harmonica legend,is it possible?Insya-Allah. Then I visualise performing in front of the crowd.I think I shall start near my home ground cos every sunday is a mass meetups of indians.And I think I can blend well amongst them.Why not perform for them too.Worse to worse either,they throw all those plastic mango juice bottles or their flip flops at me.Well,at least I got the courage and the wholesome experience hehe!
Then I thought of the downtown where there are many buskers, I have this idea to sing with this partial blind family whom has been performing for years.I think I wanna collaborate with him.I think he play the accordian or organ or something.
Anyway, dreams are meant to be built so that we can proceed further.Its a dash of hope.Man can dream to success that is the first step to SUCCEED isnt it?I believe so. I am midway between "Am I nuts to be playing harmonica? and so what?I dont care if I sound lousy, I believe with constant practice , I can be the BEST,one of the best in the world. I believe so.." mindset...
As I read more indepth about the book, it brought me to Chicago, Will I ever get to visit that city of blues?Will I get to see those Gurus in the clubs jamming?Will I get to learn a piece of two from them? Coincidentally the job Im waiting for is in chicago...Coincidence? Or just pure luck?Well, it doesnt matter if I get it or not, the intertwining hope of coincidences is good enough for me. I am thankful.Alhamdulillah.
I think I have found the right instrument.I had always dream of finding the right instrument that can depict the voices from my heart and soul.This truly is the instrument.I hope it does justice to me and my creative life.I hope it brought sunshine to the world.I hope I can motivate others to learn it and that MUSIC is not costly its just a matter of whether u want it or not and if u put ur heart and soul to it,insya-Allah anything musical is within ur grasp.I hope one day I can bring MUSIC free to the world and teach them.One day,insya-Allah happyness to the world.

there was an excerpt that I read which said that lil walter goes everywhere with the harmonica in his lips so much so that his lips are visually unseen,invisible...and he passed away when he is 37 ,so young..

Today I went out in the isolated open with no one around, just me and the trees,the grass,the clouds and picturesque view in front of me...WOW!Alhamdulillah...it was relaxing playin in the nature..with no fear that the neighbours might come down with an axe or something and no one to disturb u, just harmonising with nature.It was cool.Its better playing outdoors than indoors, for sure...
But right now, Im doing it in the car on roadtrips...i guess u gotta choose ur travel partner wisely hehe!Cos i think if given the chance my partner will scoot away at the very sight of me and my hohner hehe!

Day ???-Please stand up
I've lost track of the dates.This muddle headed brain of mine is scrambling just to remember the dates eversince I came back from my trip.It was said that it will take u 2 weeks to get over the holiday feeling and another 2 weeks to get back to reality.But I only take 3 days?!!
Anyway,I read somewhere that to practise u got to stand up.To ensure the lungs are fully expandable and to really utilise the air in and out.Hmm...
Anyway, the lazy me is like a snake slithering on the bed...As I lay down, I play the harmonica,as I sit down and surf, I blow the harmonica,as I was watching tv, I blow the harmonica...when I was exercising, I tried playing with the harmonica but soon I found myself breathless..
But seriously, the best position is when u are standing straight and still.U can blow and draw better with much force than other position.
Anyway, I had just clean the harmonica by running thru tap water but then after 2 days,it gets dirty again? No , I ensure I brush my teeth everytime I use it.Hmm...Is my saliva dirty? hehe!I wipe those excess saliva...and shake it off before putting back in the case?Its not that I can see its dirty but I can feel it when I blow it... (Seriously,do brush ur teeth everytime u wanna use it, cos I fail to do it just once and I can smell anchovies inside, YUCKS!!till today..should I use soap, what if I blow bubbles instead?hehe..or perhaps I should brush with toothpaste..hehe!!)
Anyone has similar problem?
Anyway,I was so used to tongue blocking that today I MUST Use puckering cos Im fasting (yeah, and Im not allowed to put anything in the mouth or let the tongue lick stuff,yeah kiss is a NO-NO) And so its kinda different.Cos Im used to tongue blocking and occasional puckering but without the tongue's heavy role, I felt a bit handicapped.But it can be solved.Its just that I began to treasure this luxury of having a tongue.
Feeling blue, no mood to play fly me to the moon, instead YESTERDAY became a hit once more.Now I understand how "Teacher" can play so well, if u notice her video, the face is normally "sad-want-to-cry-kinda-face" then she will perform on youtube and those songs are normally killersadness type of songs.Must learnt from the experts...
I did recce online on teachers locally, not many..this type of instrument is too common,so much so that no one took notice..no one bother to play it thinking, Ah..its just a toy (like me, first impression) but then as u appreciate this lil instrument, it began to open up its wide usage and melodious music to u and ur world.
After I kept on practising, I began to appreciate music.I teach some to my lil cousins too...They tried from empty bottles to cans to make ur own drums and paper guitars and rubber bands just to follow up music from the tv and radio.Kids catch fast. I've got my own mini band..woo-hoo!
Practising at home, I am not able to let out my emotions, cos it will be too loud.Especially now since YESTERDAY is a soapy tune of the moment.
Perhaps I should find another song to place this feeling appropriately?
Hmm..
ok lesson learnt today:
1)STAND UP when practising
2)Indulge in the current emotions and utilise that moments (be it happyness,sadness,blues...whatever) to play the harmonica so that we can play it with out heart, our deepest soul...let it be our best friend.
Ok,that's it for now...till I find a suitable song to play,will update u again..

Fly me to the moon..

If u feel that it is a blue day,it is gonna be a BLUEY Day especially on Monday morning after a splendid weekend, going to work is such a pain,r ight?Or after a delightful holiday...so for me, I hum a chirpy tune or practise a chirpy tune to get in the happy mood so that I can feel vibrantly happy and spread it to others..
Ok, I keep practising fly me to the moon that my friends and family are beginning to hum it automatically.
Ok today since I lost my lil book...a bit lazy to scribble the tabs again and so I copy and paste the tabs into my word file and whenever the printer felt like printing, i will print it if not, I can practise just by viewing it but still got to copy it cos when im out, I can practise it!
Furthermore, u never know when the tabs will be gone right?Cos the homepages are not fixed..anytime,it can disappear..
For now, I might or might not blog till I get these songs to perfection...practise makes perfect..

Wah felt a new motivation building,like I said, Im a fickle minded person...i get bored easily thus harmonica is good for me cos I can change songs anytime...and then when im not bored I can get back to the old songs.
note:Please brush the teeth before using it..cos one day I just felt lazy and did not brush my teeth before using the harmonica.Then the next day, I can smell yesterday's food when I was blowing and drawing..YUCKS!

15 days...since our eyes met
....at the shopping centre glass shelf.I didnt know who u were and there is a strong desire to want u so bad that I just bought it without consulting anyone.It felt good to grow with you,to be by your side always...a steady companion and together we brave the trials and tribulations of this musical journey.And as time goes, Im learning to learn about u every day.Something different.It felt as though we were made for each other...
I went for a short overseas trip and had not been kissing those icy cold strong firm lips of Hohner.Miss him.I brought him along but I keep him hidden in my small bag that trots around wherever I go.On the last morning (of the trip),temptations sets in and I cannot resist kissing him again and so I purse my lips touching his and *sigh life is so... wonderful (hehe!) I blew a few notes just for that satisfaction and to curb that missingness feeling.
Anyway, today I had the pleasure of smooching him all over with the tongue and all that.I thought its gonna be awkward cos few days, I had not practise but it gets better.I played fly me to the moon (with the tabs) smoothly on first trial after a few days break,and it sounded better than when I left it (before my trip)
Ok, I realised the reason being....(do take note....important)
When I left it, I was just learning the tabs of flying to the moon. And so I was concentrating so much on the tabs that i was determined to ensure the single note comes out smooth and flowing from a single hole irregardless.And so I was a bit rigid.
Then after I came back, I was in a playful mood and (by the way I lost my small tab book) thus I decided to try again this time not so much into the actual holes blown or drawn.I realised it came out smooth and fluid cos I wasnt putting too much pressure on myself.I just relax and follow with the flow.I realised that the tune goes smoothly cos I did not keep on looking at the numbers and feeling it with the tongues instead I use my rough gauge...I just need to confirm the first note (by looking at the numbers and placed a tongue there.Then blow or draw a few times from the same hole over and over again till u recognise that tune (and placed it in the song that is in ur head) and then from there I just minus or add the holes (right of left) up to follow the tabs.(Do u understand what my circling explanation is all about?hehe!)
And even if u did not go to the next hole to blow or draw, as long as u move a bit (e.g from -7 to 6, i just move my mouth a bit and the tone is just nice.I dont have to ensure that it is in the exact spot before I blow it, as long as I move a bit,the tune will change accordingly.Get it?hmm..
And I realised I should not put pressure on myself,wanting to join competition or whatever but cos of passion, cos of love doing it...not just BECAUSE...but for the LOVE of it...(I cannot say too strongly but Im learning to like it and I assume hopefully, it will be liking in a long run that deepens as time rolls on=LOVE)
So row,row ur boat, this old man (or Barney song),country road,yesterday and fly me to the moon.These are the songs I need to polish up.Once I learnt 10 songs (excluding kids songs),I will have to learn to let go of my shyness and start performing LIVE.(what?!)Im just kidding...
It doesnt have to be in the public.It can start small, I can have a mini concert with immediate family.Maybe bribe them with a tea cake or something hehe!And then proceed with relatives,cousins and friends.And then as I gain that confidence or perhaps learn to jam with other newbies (or I would have learn the basic fundamentals in school,next year insya-Allah) then I will busk amongst strangers perhaps just below my house..or on the streets...then proceed to the weekends.Just for the fun of it.Again start small from a weekday,non congested area..isolated areas...and then proceed upwards..slowly to SUCCESS!!!

Im gonna caress u with my lips today and I will kiss u endlessly for hours....

p.s: Im always having problem with hole 7 cos if I get that wrong ,most of the songs will go haywire.Cos 6 is often used and if used 7 instead,the blowing or drawing is different cos after blowing 6,the next musical note is not by blowing 7 as usual but by drawing instead.Interesting isnt it?
Currently im eating a hardboiled egg with spices (wedding gift if u attend wedding)then the imagination started creating funny images of me blowing the harmonica after eating the yolk.Just thinking about it makes me gross, YIKES! The yellow particles will be scattered all over the harmonica holes.Oh my, and if I dont wash it ,eeyeow..the pests started settling in, and it became a school science project hehe!!

The Beatles...
I realised that when i go to harptabs.com and this one http://www.harmonicacountry.com/
the latter is much better and it has more beatles tune.
but erm, I dont really know much Beatles songs..only2-3..cos another uncle of mine always sing it when I was young (e.g yesterday,hey jude..).So when he sang it.and remembered till now.
But the rest erm, i wanna hold ur hand....I know kinda catchy....obladi oblada , I learnt in school....
I didnt know they have so many songs?!!Erm, I think I need to listen to youtube first before actually thinking of a new song...
I can play yesterday much better, the whole song!!! But did not really memorize the tabs..the ending part I cannot remember...and so I can sense the song is finishing soon and so I need to sought another song.But erm, how bout country road? yeah..what about that? Have i lost interest in it? Or perhaps...the chorus is the anticpated one.Hmm, I need to think about that.I need to play songs that I felt connected or else, I wont be motivated..i am scared that I give up halfway.I want to learn to play from the heart and by ear...insya-Allah I can.

Day 10-health benefits of harmonica
Today I brought out Hohner in public.As I was walking out, there were long stretch of walkways that no one was around.Empty space.And so I start practising my harmonica.At first I tried YESTERDAY again and then without me realising a bicycle man come creeping from behind.I was a bit embarrased but not so much.More shock actually cos he did not warn me with bells or sounds.
Then I play again...its kinda difficult to blow the harmonica when u are moving.Why is this so? I dunno...perhaps the breathing became irregular as u walk in fast speed, in the sun,I dunno. perhaps...Instead of a boring walk,it became kinda fun! Its speed up that 30minute walk.Then I noticed people in the buses watching but its ok. I doubt they can hear me..hehe!
Then a bus stop in front, and more people pop up,abrupt action I did was to hide it.hehe!I put inside my bag...but it was ok.I need to play it out in the sun.I saw a man in his mid 30 to 40 using some sort of small board with wheels.its like a quarter of smallest skateboard but the wheels are like roller blades and there arent any strings or velcro but he just stand on it,separately on 2 feet.Hmm,interesting.
But seriously,the harmonica aids in breathing.Cos i felt my lungs expanded and I dont have much trouble keeping my breath longer.I used to be able to stay long under water but i stop swimming...I LOVE SWIMMING!
So this harmonica do chip in to daily health benefits.hmm,interesting..
And also train ur ears to be alert to catchy tunes so that u can copy it in ur mind (thus the memory is also trained) and then later u can play it, or try decoding it into tabs and play it...Such a small built but kinda complicated sometimes.Like me...
I am a harmonica,not that small but Im an instrument often adults ignored me but kids love me.Hmm,I felt in harmony..peace and tranquility.
I realised Im opening up more in this blog.I thought Im just gonna concetrate on the skills and tehcnicality and hold up on the emotional and rantings mumblings cos Im shy but I open up suddenly after day 9?!
Ok, gonna practise more and more

now short term goal
is to learn to play 10 songs (excluding kiddie songs)
and then when Im fluidly confident
I wanna try busking
We have a busking license
can try to apply
but its not for money..

I miss those days performing
I love performing in school
every occasion if there is a chance i will perform
whatever
I miss entertaining others...
The most accomplished thing I did was being a director and producer of a play I created from a book about a man and a mirror.I never knew it was possible but I did it somehow but then I was ousted from my own play.And so only the play actors knew I was the one who create it, no one else knew but its ok, I had fun and that is an accomplishment cos I was only 10yrs old!
My first BIG role was when I was 9, I was a moon.I have to sway with the clouds..I was BIG! BIg round moon but underneath I was wearing malay dance costume thus everyone knew who I was heheh!My brother kept shouting, that is my sister!
And then I proceed on to act as a rude unruly locals...and when I was in secondary school, we perform cultural dance and modern hiphop dance.I was one of the choreographer.It was cool.I was the (erm..self-proclaimed) "Janet Jackson" of the school.heheh! Those were the days...
Join competitions and all that thru interschool competitions,representing my beloved school.I never have stage fright, i dunno why...I felt belonged on stage.But singing and music, I felt a bit handicapped cos there was a popular girl in 3rd grade.She was chosen to sing and so she felt a bit arrogant.
When it was my turn, she make fun of me saying I sounded like a frog and the whole class laugh with her.Thus eversince, I dare not open my mouth.It was shut eversince that day.And no one told me I can sing so I assume she was right.It has been within me eversince.Hmm...
Why am I blabbing childhood stories here?Hmm...
Ok,gonna rest my head..throat was kinda scratch again,cos I forgot to bring loads of water.

p.s:so lets go thru the short term goal list again
1)single tone perfect tune
2)row ur boat and yesterday perfect
3)learn 10 songs (excld kid songs) with emotions perfectly
4)Try busking in isolated places first then downtown
5)then if local scene is ok,then proceed to overseas when backpacking who knows I can earn my penny and travel around the world like that Japanese guy who travel with $2 in his pocket and he perform magic to travel worldwide.Hmm...
So can I do it?Yes I CAN! insya-Allah amin.

I need a happy song...
I play "YESTERDAY" till the tongue gets so comfy so thin that it cannot cover the holes.It gets kinda lazy or I dunno...but the one hole tone is getting better and fluid.... but the tongue block is getting flimsy like it has no bone (but tongue really has no bone,right?!!)
And the sadness struck my heart upteen times that I tell myself "I NEED A HAPPY SONG!!!" It is killing me...this song is killing me softly, its too sad for me hehe!!

The title is "BUNYI GUITAR" which meant the sound of guitar (something like that)
Simple title...
He is one musician I know that plays with many instrument ,string and wind and whatever and then acts well, and comedian and good singer.May God bless him and rewards him for his contributions.
